India has been a land which has always attracted foreigners towards its people and cultural tradition. From time immemorial, this phenomenon is continuing and it has become a tradition of sort. Sister Nivedita came to India at the behest of her guru Swami Vivekananda to live and work for the people of India; she came, worked and sacrificed everything—even her life for the country. Then Mother Teresa, who needs no introduction, made India her home and continued her work for the poor people of India.
